Frugal Friday: Date Night- Restaurant Deals

It seems that more and more upscale restaurants are starting to offer promotions to get customers in the door see CNN.com Upscale restaurants rolling out dining deals .  Here are a few restaurants in Hoboken, NJ that are offering promotions.  While many of them already offer special pricing for those who dine early in the evening, you won’t have to go out to eat super early to enjoy the deals listed below. 

Teak on the Hudson is offering 50% off *all food, sushi, drinks, martinis and beer on Mondays and Thursdays.  Despite the ad in the Hudson Reporter, there are some exclusions.  For instance, while glasses of wine are included, bottles of wine are not.  Additionally, the Fillet Mignon, Lobster Tails, Cowboy Steak and Whole Red Snapper are not included in this deal.  An 18% gratuity is added to the bill.

At the other end of town, LUA offers a $22.00 Sunset Menu all night long on Tuesday.  The sunset menu is a special three course menu.  There is a choice of 3 appetizers, 3 main courses and 3 deserts. At the Elysian Cafe kids eat for FREE every Tuesday Night from 5:00-8:00pm.  Children get an entree, dessert and a drink from the prix fixe children’s menu. There is a limit of 2 kids (under 12) with each paying adult.

The Madison Bar & Grill is offering it’s First Seating Menu all night Monday (5:00-10:00pm).  For $16.13 per person you can make a selection from a special three course menu.   They also have a $15 First Seating Wine List.

City Bistro offers a $17.00 prix fixe three course menu all night long on Mondays.  Tax and tip are not included.  On Wednesday night you can get 1/2 price appetizers and Sangria.
